Biography
I have been practicing adoptions and child welfare law in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the last 8 years. I assist families with adoption and CPS cases in Collin, Dallas, Grayson, Denton, Tarrant, Rockwall, and surrounding counties.
I received my J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where I earned the honor of Order of Barristers, which is awarded to the top ten trial advocates in each graduating class. Prior to that I attended Texas A&M University, where I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
I have extensive experience with adoption of foster children, private infant adoptions, stepparent adoption or adoption by grandparents or other family members, readoption of a child adopted internationally, single parent adoption, and termination of parental rights. In addition to adoptions, I have also focused a significant part of my practice on CPS cases. I spent many years representing children and parents involved in CPS cases, and now I take on private cases representing foster parents in interventions.
I understand the desires, fears, and goals of foster parents and adoptive families, as well as the legal intricacies of the foster care and adoption processes. As a solo attorney law firm, I am the one who answers all my phone calls, drafts all my legal documents, handles all my hearings, and consummates every adoption. It is one of the greatest joys of my life to help my clients build their families.
